The Umbrella Oracle

"Behold the mercy of Buddha that prevails in our world! Such is the philanthropy displayed by the Kakezukuri Kannon Temple in Kii Province, with their twenty umbrellas available for loan. These umbrellas were donated to the temple in a bygone era and have been re-papered and hung from the eaves every year since, available for anyone in need during rainy or snowy weather."
